Annual
Scandinavian Day
Scandinavian Park
South Elgin, Illinois

<Click Here for this year's details>

Come Celebrate the Beauty & Traditions of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden at Vasa Park, located along the Fox River at Scandinavian Park (VASA PARK), Route 31, South Elgin, Illinois, (7 Miles South of I-90 Northwest Tollway & 5 Miles North of IL Rt. 64 North Ave.).

Enjoy a late summer day with traditional Food, Crafts, Games, Gifts & entertainment celebrating the five Nordic cultures.

Skjold Lodge usually sells one main food item that varies from year to year, but usually has been "Pølse in lefse" (basically a Norwegian hot dog rolled in lefse) or "Uff Da burgers" (sloppy joes under another name) and baked goods.  We will also have a membership table.  Bring your family and friends for a fun day with lots of music, entertainment and good Scandinavian food.  Members are encouraged to bring baked goods for sale at our booth.

To volunteer to work at our booth or to help set up and take down our tent, contact any officer and join us for a fun day of working together.

If you weren't able to attend a previous Scandinavian Day you can still get a little flavor of what the day was like by viewing some of the pictures on this page.
