This is a new page (4-22-2008) - more information will be added later. This page will also be re-formatted later, but for now, here is some helpful information.
GENEALOGY WEB SITES There are many good web sites for genealogy, and also many specifically for Norwegian genealogy, available on the web. We are not going to have a "unique" Skjold Lodge Genealogy web page. Ours will mainly direct you to the good work others have done. Many of these sites have extensive references and links.
Trønderlag.org (http://www.tronderlag.org/): Select the "Genealogy Resources" section. While this site targets Trønderlag, there is lots of helpful information for anyone researching Norwegian Genealogy. A good place to start is the "Are you new to Norwegian genealogy research?" section at the top of their "Genealogy Resources" section.
Norway Genweb (http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wgnorway/ )
Each of these first 2 web sites are maintained by Skjold Lodge member Linda Schwartz. ************************************************************************* DID YOU ATTEND OUR MARCH 2008 MEETING WHERE ARE PROGRAM WAS ON GENEALOGY: HERE ARE GENEALOGY LINKS MENTIONED AT THAT MEETING.
