HISTORY BOOKS (View them on-line)

HISTORY BOOKS 2011 AND FORWARD:

Read the sidebar to the left about history books before 2011.

HOW TO VIEW THE NEW HISTORY BOOKS:
The books will be available as a series of photos presented by automated photo viewing software.

When you click on the name of a history book, your web browser will start the viewing process.

AN EXTRA STEP YOU MAY HAVE TO DO TO BE ABLE TO VIEW THE HISTORY BOOK:
The viewing software uses a feature called "ActiveX".  Depending on how YOUR PC is set up, you may have to "allow" the ActiveX feature to run.

If so, you will see a message at the top of your screen indicating that your browser has prevented scripts or ActiveX from running.  If so, click on the message and choose "ALLOW BLOCKED CONTENT", and then if asked that you want this to run, reply with "YES".

At that point a program called "Simpleviewer" will start and display the first photo to the right and a series of photo thumbnails to the left.  By clicking on any photo, the large photo to the right will change to the larger version of the thumbnail you clicked.

HOW TO MAKE THE BIG PICTURE EVEN BIGGER:
At the top right of the screen you will see a rectangular "button" displayed.  If you click on this the screen will go into "Full Screen" mode.  To exit full screen mode, click on the "Full Screen" mode button again or press the "ESC" key on your keyboard.

HOW TO EXIT VIEWING THE HISTORY BOOKS:
If you have been vieweing in "full screen" mode, click on the "Full Screen" mode button again, or press the "ESC" key on your keyboard.

Click on the "back" arrow or feature on your browser.  Internet Explorer users will find this at the top left of their screen.
