21, 2003, an official vote was taken. By a very big majority of the members present, they voted in favor of moving to St. Mark's rather than staying where we are now. The first meeting of the new year at the Church Annex, is on January 23, 2004, and will be a pot luck dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by installation of officers beginning at 7:30 p.m. Please read the article on page 3 regarding our move. I'm looking forward to the new year and a new place to meet.
The year 2003 was overall a pretty good year. We started an adopted school. We started a website. We had two successful membership breakfasts. Unfortunately, we are losing more members than we take in. The good news is that the trend of losing is slowing down. I hope very soon that we will gain more members than we lose.
I'd like to welcome all the new members into Skjold Lodge who have come in this last year, 2003. I hope I get to meet all of you. Let me know your ideas, the programs you'd like to have, and the committees you'd like to be on. Throughout the year, there are committees the President has to appoint. If I know the members who would like to be on a committee, it makes this much simpler.
The officers started a list of programs for 2004. We didn't get very far. I hope by the next officer's meeting, the list will be finished. The list of the programs so far is listed under "Coming Events" later in this newsletter.
