REMEMBER
The English language has 5 vowels (a, e, i, o, u) and sometimes y.
The Norwegian language has 3 extra vowels:
æ = like the      "a" in "cat"
ø = sounds like "u" in "hurt"
å = sounds like "a" in "paw"

Also, people from different parts of Norway, or people in your family  might say words a little bit differently, even the words on this page.  For example, for the vowel "å", some might say "paw" and other might say "poh".  People will understand you no matter which one you use.

Remember:  The æ is like the "a" in "cat".

How do you say that in Norwegian?

If you tried all of the words, you also used all of the special Norwegian vowels (æ, ø  and å).  Good for you.
