deposit and processing fee, payable with the application. The parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle pays ½ the total cost, or $260, as the 5th District, Sons of Norway, matches a local lodge payment of ($130).  The application deadline for Heritage Camp is May 17, 2005.  The lodge has applications should you need one.

Notes from our Membership Committee.
The International Board has established several new membership incentives to encourage lodges and individuals to support membership growth.  Here's what you, as an individual, could earn by recruiting new members:
· Any individual who recruits ten new members in a calendar year will earn a logo shirt.
· Any individual who recruits 25 new members will receive a Norwegian wool sweater.

The lodge itself may also qualify for a King Harald V Medallion and also for a money award should we achieve the greatest net increase in membership within our district.  Note that our district is divided between the larger and smaller lodges.  Skjold lodge is considered a large lodge.  Awards will be presented to both a large and a small lodge.

"Family Membership":  Your children (ages 16-23) can now join the Sons of Norway, if living at home, at no additional cost.  This is a good way of introducing your child to our heritage.

"Heritage Membership": is available to children and grandchildren, up to age 15, and is free of charge?  You can sign up your child/grandchild either online at www.sonsofnorway.com, or by obtaining a Heritage Membership form from the lodge.  Just ask any of the membership committee members:  Kate Bilodeau, Gregg LeDuc, Harold Hagenson, or Carol Carlsen.
