An expert from the Vesterheim Genealogical Center in Madison, Wisconsin will conduct this FREE seminar. Julejentenes ("Christmas Girls") Christmas Bazaar.
10:00am--4:00pm.

Baked Goods (Julekaker, Kringler, Kransekaker, Sandkaker, Kromkaker, Sirupsnipper, Serinakaker, and many other delicious Norwegian cakes and cookies) are available. Also available, Norwegian packaged goods (cheeses, fiskeboller, chocolates, flatbrod, jellies, caviar and much more). Enjoy homemade pea soup lunch (made from scratch and includes bread coffee and cake). All of this and crafts, a white elephant sale and a raffle. November 20. Heritage Fest. Our 15th annual Heritage Fest is at the St. Mark Lutheran Church Center, Mount Prospect from 12:00 to 5:00PM. There will be craft and baking demonstrations, food, baked goods and entertainment.
Last year's "Children's Area" was so successful that we are doing it again. Please bring your children and grandchildren to enjoy and learn more about their Norwegian heritage. COLORING CONTEST--Children are encouraged to attend the Heritage Fest and enter a coloring contest. There will be three McDonald gift certificates awarded for the best drawings in age groups 4-6, 7-8 and 9-14. See a flyer on page 4.
Flyers are available for members to post or send to friends. Publicity is key to the success of the Fest.
Volunteers are needed to set up, take down equipment at the fest, bake Norwegian pastries and help during the fest itself. Please contact Kate Bilodeau at 847-398-7212 or e-mail sigrid@icsp.net.
