The " Sparkstotting" , or kicksled is a popular form of transportation and fun during the snowy winter months in Norway. They are useful on icy surfaces as well as snowy. Look for them in school parking lots, in front of stores, or at ski hills -- just as we lock our bikes, "spark" owners in Norway do the same. The seat on the sled can be used for a passenger, school bags, or shopping sacks. Easy to use (one kicks in the same way as classic skiing) all ages can be seen using them, however according to one source, less by teenagers who do not consider it to be a "cool" activity!
