cobson Memorial Scholarship of $350, and the application deadline is May 1st. In addition to scholarships, District 5 also has matching funds available for Heritage Camp.
We are in the process of creating our schedule of what we will do at each lodge meeting this year. We want every event to have a Norwegian theme and to be as hands-on as possible, so everyone at the meetings is an active participant. Some ideas include cooking, rosemaling, wood carving, dancing, singing, basic Norwegian lessons, Norwegian bingo, and bring-a-ting. Please call me with any ideas you have. To avoid conflicts with Memorial Day and Thanksgiving; and having the board meeting and lodge meeting occurring the same week we have adjusted our 2006 schedule. See page 8 for details.
