	This is the last Skjold News for 2006. I hope you enjoy reading this issue and look forward to the next one. Each issue is the result of effort by more than one person. Key factors are input from members including suggestions for articles, as well as proofreading and review. I met a man from Drammen who told me of a Norwegian phrase--"No one mentioned--No one forgotten". Probably good advice, but I appreciate the help I received this past year and thank all who have helped me. If I have forgotten anyone, please let me know. WEBSITE We will finish the year with over 4,000 unique visits to our "greeting" page (the first page you see as you enter the site) since the site was launched in the Spring of 2003. This number measures the number of times someone has come directly to www.skjoldlodge.com. Other visitors wanting specific information might go directly to one of our other web pages, bypassing our entry page (and not getting their visit "counted"). However, if we look at network traffic, the numbers are much larger. Traffic at our site has continuously increased across time, with our average now being about 1,200 "page visits" per month. Those of you who use GOOGLE to search the internet know that a sign of a well visited site is if it "pops up" near the top of a list when a search phrase is used. When we launched our site, a search on "skjold lodge" wouldn't find anything. Today when you search on "skjold lodge" a link to our site is now at the top of GOOGLE's list along with many other references. Do a GOOGLE search today and see what you find!
