Anne Shabez

Our member and friend Bill Kronborg, 81, of Park Ridge, passed away Oct. 3, 2007.  Bill was the beloved husband of Alfhild; dear father of Barbra (Michael Mogil) Kronborg-Mogil and Kari (Barry Cohen) Kronborg; loving grandfather of Erika, Rebekah and Kelsey.  He was a member of The Norwegian Memorial Lutheran Church, Bjornson Male Chorus, Skjold Lodge and Torske Club. The visitation was Friday, October 5, at Nelson Funeral Home in Park Ridge and Bill's memorial service was Saturday, October 6, at Minnekirke.   Memorials to Minnekirke are appreciated.

Scholarship Donations in memory of Lorraine Cummings.

Evelyn Eck.  Not only did Evelyn send a donation and a Christmas greeting for this issue of Skjold News, she also sent donations for the Skjold News Benefit and our Foundation night, even though she was not able to attend the 2 events.  We miss Evelyn at our meetings.

Carolyn and Jon Satrum traveled to British Columbia, spending time with friends in the Vancouver area, plus a trip to Whistler, where the 2010 winter Olympic skiing will take place.  They also took an additional driving (and ferry) trip to Port Al
