PLEASE JOIN US AND MARCH IN THE PARADE!
SOME 2011 RESULTS:
Well folks it was wet, cold and raining throughout the parade but it did let up when people gathered together at Hodges park.
We still had speeches, food to eat, Norwegian dancers, Norwegian Elk Hounds, and of course the day would not be complete without the "Grand March". Our friend Inger, from Jul Hus of Rockford was there as well selling some of her wares. We hope to see her again at our Heritage Fest in the fall.
Our lodge Historian will be working on an update to our History Book pages, but in the mean time we will post a few pictures from the day. You can also click on the icon in the upper right corner of the viewing software page to be able to view even larger pictures.

A big thank you to all who braved the weather to celebrate the day including the loyal people of Park Ridge who line the streets. Naturally, far fewer than when the weather is better, but still quite a few with their Norwegian flags in hand.
Skjold Lodge has been participating in this parade for many years. Like most of the groups participating, we simply have a group of marchers and a convertible or two, if available, but this year we will not have a float or other special items.
